Thursday, May 1 ~ Mason Via w/ special guest Ralph Roddenbery @ Red Light Cafe
Tickets: $20 ADV/$25 Door
Time: Doors @ 7PM, Showtime 8PM
TDawg Presents is proud to present former member of Old Crow Medicine Show, Grammy-nominated artist Mason Via, who has branched out to create his own mark!
“Mason Via is one of the best of the new generation of bluegrass players and this album makes that perfectly clear. Driving mash grass, sweet ballads, new bluegrass classic songs and country hits that could well end up on the radio are all right here in your hand. Mason goes a bit beyond traditional grass with some unusual progressions and surprising arrangements making these songs a delight to any ear whether familiar with bluegrass or not. With this his first bluegrass record, Mason is stepping out on his own and his future is “wide open” .You’re gonna hear a lot from this guy, enjoy your first taste!”
—Vince Herman of Leftover Salmon
It took four quick years for Mason Via to become one of the newest leaders of modern-day American roots music. During that whirlwind period, he toured the world as a member of Old Crow Medicine Show, earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the band’s chart-topping album Jubilee, contributed songs to Grammy Winning and Nominated records by Molly Tuttle and Del McCoury Band, and released his solo debut, New Horizons. The momentum continues with Mason Via, a self-titled solo record that balances the progressive with the timeless, reintroducing Mason as a southern storyteller and sharp-eyed singer/songwriter steeped in the bluegrass tradition.
By the early 2020s, he’d already flown the flag for bluegrass and folk music on prime-time TV as an American Idol contestant, completed multiple tours as the youngest member of Old Crow Medicine Show, and collaborated with artists like Sierra Ferrell — another Appalachian export who, like him, put her own spin on the music of the mountains.
Mason’s new self-titled recording is absoulutely fantastic, full of soul and fine picking.
Local favorite Ralph Roddenbery kicks off the evening with what promises to be a top tier set of brilliant and witty songwriting. This is going to be a fantastic night!

Saturday, May 10 ~ Donna the Buffalo w/ special guests Tire Fire Trio @ Music on Main Street
Tickets: $35 Click Here to purchase!
Time: Doors 6PM, Showtime 7PM
TDawg Presents, Music On Main Street & Grace Note Foundation are excited to announce the return of Donna the Buffalo to the outdoor stage! Two years ago, they took the stage and wow was it a night to remember. DtB brings blends of roots, folk-rock, reggae, rock, Cajun, zydeco, and folk for a show that is as much a party as it is a concert. History runs deep with TDawg Presents, dating all the way back to Oct 10, 1998 and the 1st Annual Harvest Fest in Fairburn, GA. It’s great to have them back in a wonderful outdoor setting.
Tire Fire Trio brings Appalachian Tire Burning Bluegrass Fusion from the South-East and is a perfect compliment to the rockin’ roots music of DtB!
Proceeds to benefit the Grace Note Foundation, which provides scholarships for band camp and music lessons at MOMS as well as financial aid to musicians in need, primarily for medical purposes.

It was beyond cold with the strong wind blowing Saturday. Heavy rain Friday. Some sleet on Saturday mixed with sunshine. Finally clearing by Saturday evening. Wow! And through it all, the show went on! The musicians played their hearts out, the crowd, around 400 total, was dialed in and having a blast, plenty of kids running around with their faces painted, and the music stayed on schedule! All this despite some crazy weather conditions. THANK YOU to the staff and sound crews from
Blackberry Possum got the ball rolling Friday night with some fantastic energy that had everyone moving and shaking under the extended cover in front of the stage. If you have a chance to catch them, don’t miss that opportunity. Saturday morning was when the high for the day occurred, and the temperature dropped from then on. That didn’t stop the music from keeping everyone warm and fuzzy inside on both stages all day and into the late night. Pickled Holler, featuring former members of Blueground Undergrass – Rev. Jeff Mosier, Matthew Williams & Edward Hunter – and beautiful vocals and bass playing of Jessica Williams, was the ideal way to ease into the day. How lucky are we to have such caliber of talent to start the day?! Our friends in Spackle provided a nice rock
edge. Dead Affect provided just the right set of Grateful Dead music to boogie through the afternoon. Honeywood continued that boogie with some high energy jamgrass. Rev. Jeff Mosier & Biscuit Tragedy laid down an absolutely beautiful set that really left me missing my good friend Col. Bruce, who would have certainly been performing at this one. The GMOs provided us with one of the best sets of the day; if you have an opportunity to catch this fresh outfit, don’t miss out! The return of Snake Oil Medicine Show to the stage was extremely special, and they laid out some incredible gypsy and reggae rhythms mixed in with their signature hypnotic sound. One can never underestimate a set when it’s led by the amazing singer/songwriter Ralph Roddenbery, and the wow factor was in full effect after his memorable set. Deep Blue Sun followed that with 90 minutes of purely hypnotic jams that was easy listening from the bonfire, and Strung Like A Horse made sure everyone was strung by the end of the night. There were sit-ins abound all day and night Saturday and for the Friday night set, which made for a ultra-special experience. Enjoy the snippet from Friday night below featuring Bobby Miller sitting in with Blackberry Possum for some fine bluegrass jams!
That’s right y’all! Before you know it, the weekend of April 6-7 will be here, and you KNOW where you should be – HOOOOOOOOOOOOTENANNY!! I am grateful to still be able to bring quality live music to the community, and the Harvest Family Hoot is a celebration of that continuation. It’s been a long strange trip for the last 20 years, and I look forward to what the future brings on this level. (Blue Ridge) HarvestFest, the 19 editions of TDawg’s Back Porch Hootenanny that followed, the Annual Holiday Hootenanny, the free community events, and all the TDawg shows over the years in and around the Southeast have all had a strong common bond in the amazing talent that has always come together to produce memorable and transcending music experiences for just a few patrons or a few thousand and all points in between.
