Since 2001, The Squirrelheads have been Atlanta and North Georgia’s go-to band for authentic New Orleans funk, boogie-woogie, and Mardi Gras music. What started as a passion for the sounds of the Crescent City has evolved into over two decades of bringing that Big Easy energy to clubs, festivals, and private events across the Southeast.
Drawing from the deep wells of New Orleans musical tradition, The Squirrelheads channel the funk of The Meters, the groove of Professor Longhair, the soul of Dr. John, and the infectious energy of second-line street parades. Mix in touches of zydeco (think Buckwheat Zydeco) and danceable classics from the late 70s, and you get a sound that’s both authentic and accessible — music that gets people on their feet whether they’re New Orleans natives or hearing the style for the first time.

Today Trina Meade is one of Atlanta’s own live musical performers. Her passion for music began early watching her father sing on the living room floor and from the pulpit of their church!
Once Trina moved to Atlanta, she joined one of most prominent bands on the local R&B circuit, later moving into the alternative rock music scene with her band Stereo Popsicle which morphed into Three5Human. Trina has toured and recorded with artist such as TLC, Indigo Girls, Michael Franti, OutKast, Stevie Wonder, Fishbone, Michelle Malone, and Blind Boys of Alabama through Kevn Kenny to name a few and is currently writing her first solo album entitled “Ashes”, set to release in the second quarter of 2026!

Funk Cake was launched in November of 2016 when band leader Alex Rodiek gathered some of the best brass and percussion players in Atlanta to start playing gigs around the city. Since then, Funk Cake has gained notoriety for their unique and unmistakable funky brass band sound, becoming a sought-after group for venues all over the state. Funk Cake brings the sizzle to their live shows by combining genre-bending arrangements with virtuosic soloing. You can catch them rocking out, especially during Mardi Gras season, or performing at some of the best known venues in Atlanta.
Funk Cake is known for high-energy, interactive performances that engage audiences and create prime social sharing opportunities. Funk Cake brings an enthusiastic crowd to each show and draws even more people in during performances with their New Orleans brass sound that can be heard for miles.
The Bird City Revolutionaries blend reggae, dub, Afro-funk, Ethiopian jazz, and psychedelic grooves to create a sound as dynamic and diverse as their members. Formed in October 2011, the band brings together veteran musicians from some of Atlanta’s most beloved reggae, dub, and jazz projects, resulting in a genre-defying musical experience.

Mason goes a bit beyond traditional grass with some unusual progressions and surprising arrangements making these songs a delight to any ear whether familiar with bluegrass or not. It took four quick years for Mason Via to become one of the newest leaders of modern-day American roots music. During that whirlwind period, he toured the world as a member of Old Crow Medicine Show, earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the band’s chart-topping album Jubilee, contributed songs to Grammy Winning and Nominated records by Molly Tuttle and Del McCoury Band, and released his solo debut, New Horizons. The momentum continues with Mason Via, a self-titled solo record that balances the progressive with the timeless, reintroducing Mason as a southern storyteller and sharp-eyed singer/songwriter steeped in the bluegrass tradition.
By the early 2020s, he’d already flown the flag for bluegrass and folk music on prime-time TV as an American Idol contestant, completed multiple tours as the youngest member of Old Crow Medicine Show, and collaborated with artists like Sierra Ferrell — another Appalachian export who, like him, put her own spin on the music of the mountains.
Mason’s new self-titled recording is absoulutely fantastic, full of soul and fine picking.
Local favorite Ralph Roddenbery kicks off the evening with what promises to be a top tier set of brilliant and witty songwriting. This is going to be a fantastic night!

TDawg Presents, Music On Main Street & Grace Note Foundation are excited to announce the return of Donna the Buffalo to the outdoor stage! Two years ago, they took the stage and wow was it a night to remember. DtB brings blends of roots, folk-rock, reggae, rock, Cajun, zydeco, and folk for a show that is as much a party as it is a concert. History runs deep with TDawg Presents, dating all the way back to Oct 10, 1998 and the 1st Annual Harvest Fest in Fairburn, GA. It’s great to have them back in a wonderful outdoor setting.
Tire Fire Trio brings Appalachian Tire Burning Bluegrass Fusion from the South-East and is a perfect compliment to the rockin’ roots music of DtB!
Proceeds to benefit the Grace Note Foundation, which provides scholarships for band camp and music lessons at MOMS as well as financial aid to musicians in need, primarily for medical purposes.

Peter Stroud is Sheryl Crow’s music director and has been a part of her band for the most part of 25 years. He has also toured and/or recorded with Stevie Nix, Don Henley, Sarah McLachlan, Shawn Mullins, 10,000 Maniacs, and many others. In fact, if you watched the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony recently, you would’ve seen Peter on the stage jamming with Peter Frampton during Sheryl Crow’s segment! It’s pretty darn exciting to be bringing this local music icon to the Holiday Hootenanny stage for the first time! Joining us for the 8th consecutive year, his sets are always a crowd favorite, in part because he releases at least one album a year! He cohosts the weekly Buddy & Jim Radio Show on SiriusXM with the incomparable Buddy Miller, and his songs have been covered by the likes of George Strait, Patty Loveless, Elvis Costello, The Dixie Chicks, Gary Allen, Blake Shelton, and more! Happy Holidaze! Things are heating up for this year’s Holiday Hootenanny! Needless to say, we’re packing A LOT into 4 hrs 45 min. Y’all this is truly a one-of-a-kind show featuring a chunk of ATL’s finest musicianship and then some! It’s our own holiday party, with all the right people there. Come and be a part! I’m excited to announce that guitarist Benji Shanks (Blackberry Smoke, Kristian Bush) is joining the tribute to the late Dustin Scott Warren at Holiday Hootenanny 12! Along with Benji, Gaurav Malhotra, and Matt Williams, those four stellar musicians were part of the core of the incredible group of the 2000’s Captain Soularcat. Also joining in this special mini set are three keyboardists, Spencer Pope, Ryan Murphy (performed with the band at a couple of TDawg’s Back Porch Hootenannies), & Jamie Kudiats (Brandyhouse days, recorded on first album). This is truly going to be an amazing, emotional musical homage to a wonderful human being.
We will also be featuring a double drum kit/percussion arrangement featuring Darren Stanley, Richie Jones, Mark Raudabaugh, Gaurav Malhotra & Joe Craven throughout the evening, and especially during the tribute to Count M’Butu and Yonrico Scott!
