We are now only a few days away from what has evolved into a passionate and love filled night of a musical utopia! 2021 has been a difficult year for so many of us, and I can tell that personally I am really looking forward to the Holiday Hoot on so many fronts. Music heals, and I have no doubt that you will emerge from this concert with a feeling of hope that you didn’t have before, and you will be a part of an amazing audience who, along with the musicians, create an atmosphere of love, friendship and family in a climate of conflict that continues to permeate our society.
Expect some fantastic jams by the fine folks performing for you. All the sets are coming together nicely right now, and we will be featuring Ike Stubblefield’s Hammond B3 all night long to be used by keyboardist extraordinaires Matt Slocum and Kevin Thomas. Let’s just say you’ll be witnessing some musical nirvana moments that won’t happen again!

Enjoy this fantastic set from the 2019 edition of the Holiday Hootenanny featuring the late great Ike Stubblefield on the keys along with Bryan Lopes on the sax and Jeff Sipe’s trio The State Birds. Zambi
I find myself in a peculiar position right now and feeling blessed simultaneously. While continuing to dig in as the Director of Concerts & Community Outreach on the Frank Hamilton School front, and there is A LOT of goodness going on there, TDawg Presents is producing just a few concerts presently, which is exactly how I need it to be. On that note, the select two events coming up courtesy of TDawg Presents include one this Friday night, October 28, a Halloween bash at the Red Light Cafe with Hootenanny favorite Strung Like A Horse featuring Bill Fleming on the pedal steel and The 6th Annual Atlanta’s Holiday Hootenanny ~ A Benefit for Atlanta Habitat for Humanity ~ at Terminal West on Sunday, December 18. Advance tickets are available now for both events. Please click on the pictures below to visit the online ticket page for either one!
If you’ve never experienced getting STRUNG before, now’s your chance! These fellas are so much fun and high energy with their gypsy punk grass you won’t know what hit ya! Come dressed up or not, just come!
Check out this fun video, “tiny desk” style of their song “Free” ~ Enjoy!

Returning artists Rev. Jeff Mosier, Papa Mali, Americana music icon Jim Lauderdale (pictured from 2015 Hoot w/ Jeff Mosier), and Yonrico Scott compliment nicely the addition of Drivin’n’Cryin’s own Kevn Kinney to the bill. Backed by a group of stellar A-List musicians, the ensuing four unique sets of music will leave you with a huge smile at the end of the night and grateful you were witness to a one of a kind lineup at the 6th Annual Atlanta’s Holiday Hootenanny! Mark your calendars now and hope to see you there! More to come on the silent auction benefiting Atlanta Habitat for Humanity later in November. Meanwhile, get your Advance Tickets ($25 ADV/$30 Door) and know you’re supportingh a great cause and a great holiday tradition!
Thanks again to every one – musician, patrons, volunteers, Terminal West – who was a part of the 4th Annual Atlanta’s Holiday Hootenanny! It was a great success, and I enjoyed presenting Atlanta Habitat with a check for $1,600 as a result of our tremendously fun time we had! Folks it will only get better from here for that special show – mark your calendars for Sunday, December 20, 2015 for the 5th Annual Atlanta’s Holiday Hootenanny and what promises to be quite the extravaganza.
