TDawg Presents is excited to bring this last minute show your way with good friends THE RAGBIRDS! Returning to the intimate confines of The Red Light Cafe, The Ragbirds bring their mesmerizing hypnotic world folk rock w/ a twist of gypsy sound straight to YOU! We are fortunate to have them come through en route to MerleFest, so come see what they’re about! Lead vocalist and principal songwriter Erin Zindle (violin, mandolin, accordion, banjo, percussion), is joined by her husband and percussion wizard, Randall Moore and brother TJ Zindle on guitar, truly making this a family affair. Rounded out by an incredibly solid rhythm section – the dynamic Dan Jones on bass and Jon Brown on drums with Moore anchoring percussion, The Ragbirds truly create what they term “An Infectious Global Groove” that has earned quite an amazing grass roots following, and after this upcoming weekend in MerleFest, their legend is sure to grow exponentially! Please enjoy the video of “Brave New Beat”, which also happens to be my favorite Ragbirds song.
“It’s rare to hear something new and exciting in the realm of folk/roots music, but the careful alchemists of The Ragbirds have given us just that!”
-Bryan Rodgers, Homegrown Music Network
“The most engaging new band I’ve heard this year is The Ragbirds….eclectic, restlessly creative, poetic, and delivered with confidence, it grows on you with every listen.”
-Jeffery Overstreet, Looking Closer
