Be sure to jump on this one-time show featuring two of my favorite acts in TDawg’s Back Porch Hootenanny archives, Strung Like A Horse and The Ain’t Sisters! This is going one of the higher-energy rockin’ Americana shows you’re going to witness in a long time. I guarantee it!

Strung Like A Horse has been on a tear through this pandemic stricken time we’ve found ourselves in for a while now, and they’re gonna help you out of it! Their latest release, Whoa!, is a true gem and has been lodged in the Americana Charts Top 40 for quite a while now. Their performances at past Hootenannies have been of the legendary sort, and I’m excited to continue our tradition together!

The Aint Sisters have transcended their origins as outlaw street performers to grace the stages of the Southeast and beyond with their unique brand of funk-infused, blues-driven Indie Rock.

The Ain’t Sisters are comprised of the power duo of Arrie Bozeman and Barb Carbon front the band blending tight harmonies and smart lyrics with soulful, booty-shakin’ melodies. Dynamic musicians and songwriters, they share an equal propensity for irony, humor, ferocity, and heart-on-sleeve authenticity. With the addition of Justin Boudreau on bass, The Aint Sisters have expanded the sonic experience, earning their place as one of Atlanta’s premier original acts.

We’ve had a tremendous amount of fun at The Marlay House in Downtown Decatur the last couple of Fridays, with Bonaventure Quartet and Grant Green Jr. adding significant status to who’s played there 😉 Both acts kept folks there until the end. Two more dates are scheduled, see below and see y’all out and about! Hopefully have some more dates for June-July. Music goes from 6:30-9 PM, No Cover, but Tips are Appreciated!

April 30 ~ Donna Hopkins

May 7 ~ Ralph Roddenbery
