We had an absolute BLAST last weekend at Cherokee Farms for TDawg’s Back Porch Hootenanny #14! As we take for granted with all Hoots, the musicians brought their A-Game to the stage for what was one of the finest Hootenannies to date! #15 will happen the weekend of September 13-14 – stay tuned for details coming soon!
The amazing audience witnessed musical mastery and genius in all different shapes and sizes, with many sit-ins and spontaneous jams. Lefty Williams sits in with Jim Lauderdale and Rev. Jeff Mosier; The Ragbirds rise to the occasion and bring Lauderdale on stage for as rockin’ a version of “Halfway Down” as I’ve ever heard; Strung Like A Horse tears the roof of the ol’ shed stage during Gypsy Jane; Caroline Aiken’s mesmerizing set; Ralph Roddenbery, Donna Hopkins, Caroline Aiken, the Bibb City Ramblers, and Lefty tear it up on the spontaneous second stage aptly titled the Grateful Fred Tent in honor of good friend Fred Hill; Red Clay Revival lead a stellar Friday night jam onstage with The Bibb City Ramblers & Donna Hopkins; THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER; our incredible Box Office crew smilin’ all weekend 😉 Let’s just say life is good!
Caroline Aiken – “A weekend full of family and friends, and the HOOTNENANNY was SO wonderful, the line up was so great with the Ragbirds, Strung LIke A Horse, and so many others…. my band made me so proud: John Pagano , Eddie Glikin and Bob Glick and with the “musicians at large”: (indeed LARGE!!) Donna Hopkins and Ralph Roddenbery, floating and soaking everyone with musical love….it was an honor to be included in the weekend, Thanks Thomas Helland!!!”
Always enjoy T-Dawg events wish I could attend more of them.
